Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead June 10, 2018

The San Diego Chapter met at Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead and Farmers Market in Escondido. Many of the artists used the Direct Watercolor Method and their work can be seen in this video.

Folk Music Festival at Old Poway Park

Found myself in Poway today and decided to check out Old Poway Park after seeing the directional sign while driving. There happened to be a folk music festival going on, so I sat for a bit and sketched. Good practice. :) Kim Cruz

Japanese Friendship Bell _ San Diego Urban Sketchers 2018

Created by Masahiko Katori, the bell was presented to the city of San Diego by the Japanese city of Yokohama in 1958 to celebrate the joining of our two cities as sister cities. The Yokohama Friendship Bell is located on Shelter Island and was the location for the San Diego Urban Sketchers Event on May 20, 2018.The video shows the artists and their sketches.

The Marston House was built in 1905 and is one of California's finest examples of the Arts and Crafts movement. The San Diego Urban Sketchers visited this historic landmark on March 31, 2018.
