Leo Carillo Ranch, Carlsbad

I braved my allergies today and went to the beautiful Leo Carillo Ranch in Carlsbad. I sat among the curious peafowl and sketched the Wash House.

This park is open free to the public Tuesdays through Sundays. It was the home of actor Leo Carillo and his family. Hidden in what is now a quiet residential neighborhood, this 27-acre park has plenty of fantastic buildings to sketch. I can't wait to go back!
